Recurring leaves Beta: this week's charges, the moment you open Synx
v0.1.12π Recurring graduates from Beta. A new dashboard tile shows what's about to leave your account in the next 7 days, and the detection behind it got noticeably sharper.
- Recurring is out of Beta: the page that finds your subscriptions and regular bills on its own is now a full, finished part of Synx, with a new dashboard tile and sharper detection.
Why it matters: You shouldn't have to go looking to find out what's about to hit your account. Now the moment you open Synx, this week's recurring charges are right there: how much, when, and what for.
What's new
- This week's charges, right on your dashboard: A new Upcoming Recurring Charges tile shows the total about to leave your account over the next 7 days, with the next few charges listed underneath: who, how much, and when. Anything due Today or Tomorrow gets a small amber dot so the close ones stand out.
- An honest "expected" label: Charges Synx has confirmed just show their date. Ones it's fairly sure about but you haven't confirmed yet are marked expected, so a good guess never reads as a sure thing.
- Two more rhythms it can spot: Synx now recognizes bills that land every 2 months and every 6 months (think some utilities and insurance premiums) on top of weekly, every two weeks, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
- Reduced false positive on our recurring detection: The detection got stricter. It used to occasionally mistake an irregular shopping streak for a subscription. Now it only flags something as recurring when the real gaps between charges actually line up with a regular schedule.
Good to know
- Three charges before we're confident: As before, Synx waits for a third matching charge before it locks in a pattern, so the dashboard tile never shows a one-off purchase as a subscription.
- Expenses only: We look at money going out, not transfers between your own accounts, income, or refunds.
- One row per merchant: If something charges you twice in the same week, the dashboard tile shows its next charge once. Open the Recurring page to see every individual date.
