Tags keep their capital letters now
v0.1.14🏷️ Type a tag like "2026 Amsterdam" and it stays exactly that way, capitals and all, on every screen instead of turning into "2026 amsterdam".
- Your tags keep the exact capitals you type: name a tag "2026 Amsterdam" and that's how it reads everywhere in Synx, not "2026 amsterdam".
Why it matters: A tag is your own label, and it should look the way you wrote it. Until now, tags you added from a transaction quietly got lowercased, so a trip you called "2026 Amsterdam" showed up as "2026 amsterdam" on your Spend page and everywhere else.
What's new
- Capitals stick: When you add a tag while looking at a transaction, the name now saves with the exact upper and lower case you typed. "Date Night", "BJs Wholesale", "2026 Amsterdam", all kept as written.
- The same on every screen: Your tag reads the same way in the tag list, in your filters, and on the Spend page. No more one version here and a lowercased version there.
- Still no accidental duplicates: Typing "amsterdam" when you already have "Amsterdam" still lands on the same tag, so you won't end up with two near-identical labels. The match ignores capitals even though the name keeps yours.
Good to know
- Older tags keep their old look: Tags you created before this change stayed lowercased, and we can't guess back the original capitals. To fix one, rename it under Settings → Tags and the new spelling sticks from then on.
