A home for your receipts
v0.1.16🧾 Receipts get their own page: search everything you've forwarded, watch a new one get filed as it happens, and keep an eye on what's still under warranty.
- A home for your receipts: there's a new Receipts page in the menu that pulls together everything you've forwarded, so you're no longer opening one purchase at a time to find them.
Why we built it: You constantly have to keep receipts tied to a specific transaction. HSA reimbursements, business deductions for a side gig, rental expenses, declaring items when you travel, warranty claims that get burdensome fast. Automating that is really why we built Synx in the first place. This is the important second step toward a personal finance command center you can actually manage.
What you can do
- Open the Receipts page: find it in the left menu, next to Transactions. Everything about your receipts lives here now.
- Search your whole pile: type a store name or pick a date range and Synx pulls up the matching receipts, grouped by month with a running total for each month, so you can see what a trip or a season actually cost.
- Watch a receipt get filed: forward one and the page shows it moving through the steps in real time, from just arrived, to being read, to matched, to filed against the right purchase. No refreshing to check on it.
- Handle the ones we're unsure about: every so often a receipt could match more than one purchase. Those show up as "Needs your review," and you pick the right one or wave it off yourself instead of it sitting in limbo.
- See what's still covered: switch to the warranty view to list your covered purchases with the soonest-to-expire at the top, so a warranty window never quietly closes on you.
- Open any receipt in full: tap one to see the original file next to the purchase it's attached to, with the warranty details and a download button right there.
New here?
- Get your address and forward away: if you haven't sent a receipt yet, the page walks you through it: your own private Synx email address to copy, and a reminder that you can email a photo of a paper receipt just as easily as forwarding an order confirmation.
- What it costs: reading a receipt uses 8 tokens, and only when we actually pull the details out of it. If we can't read one, you're not charged for it.
