• Settings → Notifications: a new page that tells you exactly what Synx sends you, which today is nothing, and gives you one button to ask for the alert you'd actually want.

Why we built it: Money apps are the worst offenders here. They start mailing you the day you sign up, and you spend the next month unsubscribing one at a time. We would rather start at zero and only ever send the things somebody asked us for.

What you can do

• Check what we send you: Settings → Notifications in the left sidebar of your settings. The answer is on the page in one line. No emails, no texts, no push alerts. Everything about your money sits in the app and waits for you to open it.
• Ask for the one you'd actually read: Request a notification opens a short box. Say what would be worth being told about, a bill coming due, a balance running low, a paycheck that hasn't landed, and send it.
• Say something else instead: the box opens ready for a notification request, but the Type list stays open. If what you really meant was a bug or a different feature, switch it there and it goes down the same path.
• Trust that nothing is on behind your back: there's no list of alerts quietly switched on, because there's no list. When we do build the first one, you'll be the one turning it on.
